Our school is a Title I Pre-K through 5th grade elementary school and all students receive free breakfast and lunch. Our students arrive at school every day excited and ready to learn, even though many of them may have walked some distance to get to school. Most of our students are English Language Learners and are very eager to learn English. The students at this school work hard every day and have bonded to form a caring family despite any disadvantages they may face.
These students are looking forward to our new technology class next year and deserve to have the resources they need to be prepared for our technological world!
We are the Roundy Racers, students who learn and grow together. I am looking forward to being their technology teacher this school year. These students make me happy and proud every day to be their teacher!
The Lil'Gadget Headphones that I am requesting for my students will provide a way for them to utilize technology applications as responsible digital citizens. These headphones will be used with our students in kindergarten, first grade, second grade, third grade, fourth grade, and fifth grade.
Donations to this project will provide an environment that meets the needs of diverse learners in our technology class and is engaging for all students.
Students will be able to work independently on applications that require private listening, thus limiting distractions for themselves and the other students in the classroom. Another feature of these Lil'Gadgets headphones is the ability to link them together so multiple students can listen and collaborate on a project using the same device. Our students will appreciate the opportunity to use these new headphones that will definitely make technology-use effective for their learning. Thank you for helping us listen and learn!
