My Project

This year and over the next few years, a number of my students have disabilities which impact their communication. I have recognized the need for these students to develop functional language in order to navigate their classroom and their school day independently.

At such a young age, I feel it is important to help them learn how to utilize functional language and communication to express their wants, needs, and feelings during the school day.

Developing these skills at a young age will be so beneficial to them as they grow older.

My goal is to have a variety of options to display not only in my classroom, but in their individual classrooms to help students become independent talkers.
