My Students
The coronavirus pandemic has put a damper on many things in our world today but teaching must continue. Teaching as we knew it in March will be changed forever and now teachers, students, and parents must prepare for the future. One thing that we must prepare for is blended classrooms. It looks like we must prepare for both in school and remote learning activities.
Bluetooth keyboards will help my students type on our classroom Ipads that we have received through Donors Choose.
These keyboards will be helpful when students have to respond to writing prompts throughout the year.
I want my students to have the resources that they need to succeed in 4th grade and beyond. When we return to the classroom, these keyboards will be traveling with kids who need technology for learning. I hope to continue to write projects for technology so that we can soon become a one on one classroom. We are about getting close to this goal.
My Project
Currently, with the pandemic, we do not know how we will begin our school year. We have to be ready for both in school and remote learning in case we cannot be physically in our schools.
We currently have some classroom iPads that students will be using throughout the year and they would benefit from bluetooth keyboards when typing.
We do a lot of writing in 4th grade and only a few students are comfortable using the iPads for this. With the keyboards, I believe that students will not be as hesitant to wait for a computer but instead utilize the iPad.
