Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are hard-working, driven individuals who are looking to exceed all expectations and set the bar high for their families and their communities by excelling in academics and becoming strong leaders within their communities. Many of our students come from low-income backgrounds and have not had the opportunity to attend a high performing school yet in their lives.
My students are motivated to make tremendous growth in their academics this year and push themselves to develop into scholars who are aware of and working to right social injustice.
My Project
Our students have been requesting a music club where they can learn how to play the piano. Right now we don't have any music programs so we would love to be able to offer a keyboard club to our students who are requesting it.
With your help we can get our students keyboards so that they can build their musical skills and increase their overall engagement in school.
Our students are so excited for the opportunity to play and sing and we feel so grateful for teachers that are willing to teach students these skills. We are looking forward to being able help our students delve into new hobbies and get more excited about school!
