My Students

My students are special in so many ways. We are in a school that services military children in our town. My school is truly a melting pot of diversity, talents and cultures. My students love to learn and relate things to the real world. I make all learning fun and interactive as well as engaging for my students.

Technology and hands-on materials are a must in my classroom because that is what the students can relate to and it pushes their learning due to being on so many different levels.

They go above and beyond to be the best that they can be. I am pushing for them to understand the importance of being organized, productive and focused in an environment that is conducive to learning.

My Project

Students are surrounded and engaged in technology on a daily basis. In today's classroom, students are on devices and collaborating constantly. My students have devices and use them to the best of their ability, but keyboards would make it easier for those little hands to type longer responses than just tapping the screen multiple times.

We are preparing our students for jobs that are not even created yet.

It is our job as educators to get them ready to the best of our ability so that they are productive 21st century-skilled learners. These students are our future leaders and I want to prepare my students to do well. These keyboards will allow for my students to do more typed responses instead of clicking multiple choice type questions. Type response gives me a window into their thinking whereas multiple choice limits their responses.
