This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We have the piano keyboards. Now we need stands so we can learn to play them!

We are an inner-city k-8 school looking to develop a mini-keyboard lab for students to learn keyboard/piano skills.

Pianos/keyboards are important instruments used by the students to apply their music reading and theory knowledge. We have had 12 keyboards donated to the school, and now we just need stands so we can set them up.

My Project

With the purchase of 12 keyboard stands, the students will be able to participate in group piano lessons. Students will learn piano techniques, treble and bass clef reading, chord building and music theory. Although this will be done on the pianos themselves, the stands are an important tool for the students as they will hold the keyboards at the appropriate heights for the individual students to play comfortably.

Due to the varying heights and ages of the students in a K-8 school, adjustable keyboard stands are important for students to learn piano techniques that are safe and accurate.

The music students at our school are very excited to have the opportunity to begin their piano skills!
