My Project

I currently have wonderful rocks, shells, crystals and so many other great items to put out for a science space. But no place to actually store them. This cart is very simple, but great for my organizational needs. It also allows my students access to hands-on learning through science. Which is a win-win.

Science is the best subject with kindergarten students, because it allows for natural observation, hands-on learning, and is a high-interest, high-rigor activity.

In kindergarten, we plant and observe butterflies every spring. During the winter months we have rocks, wood, crystals, animal items (bear claw, fossil, shark tooth), and other great items. This would allow for a central placement for students to be able to access and also protect important objects. I have recently purchased a cute microscope with a camera (not a toy one!) and my students will be diving into those very soon. With a better way to keep things together this will just enhance this already important subject. Science, I believe, is the easiest of subjects for students to plug into. Not knowing the "answer" is the foundation of science and it makes students feel free to make mistakes. I've seen it matter. I just need it to be organized to maximize and reduce the hours I spend digging for items. This cart will allow for much more access, but in a controlled and organized manner which for a kindergarten teacher is very important!

Thank you for your time and the help!
