This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing learners. They approach learning with enthusiasm and excitement. Coming from a variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, the students have created a collaborative learning environment where everyone feels valued and respected. Daily, we strive to better understand the world around us and the role that each one of us plays in it.

My Project

Many students arrive at school in the winter without a hat or gloves. I would love to provide hats and gloves to any child in the school that needs them. I hope to help take away some of the worry or concern about staying warm that some students and families may face each day. The simple gift of a hat and/or gloves can help a child focus on his/her learning rather than the distraction of going without something so essential. Our students and families will be so grateful for any hats or gloves that we may receive and that we will be able to distribute.
