Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Fourth graders have a hard time staying organized. Teaching this executive functioning skill through the use of durable folders that match the subjects is a first step in helping the students be more organized.

Having color-coded folders that can handle fourth graders is a must.

Traditional paper folders often get torn and battered by the students taking the folders in and out. Students can be very rough with their materials and these folders are much more durable than the paper ones we normally use. We used these same folders this year in our fourth grade classes and they have lasted all year. They look brand new for most students!
