Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
For several years my students have been working on recycling and campus beautification. They have done well with the supplies we have but would definitely benefit from some upgrades.
New recycling bins to organize recycling and a new wagon to haul recycling around campus will help our goal a lot.
The wagon will be especially useful rather than hauling buckets around by hand. They would also benefit from reusable water bottles so our class is using less plastic bottles and plastic cups daily in the Arizona heat!
I am very passionate about recycling and the environment and my students are always willing and interested to join me on that mission. This project will help my students in many ways as well as our environment.
