This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach an Autism classroom and have 9 wonderful students! I am teaching my students how to become independent individuals. I am working very hard to create a more independent driven environment for my students.

Having a new classroom open shelf will allow my students to have access to their materials as they need or want!

Most of my students struggle with their fine motor. The current placement of their materials has latches that are hard for my students to open and close on their own. Having this open shelf will allow my students to be independent when getting their materials and putting them away.
