This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am proud to be a teacher at my school. Our school is a small country school. Although we are a small school, my students have big minds full of potential.

My goal, as their teacher, is to provide a warm and welcoming classroom that puts my students first.

This will allow my students to feel safe and secure, causing them to reach their full learning potential. My classroom encourages active participation in learning. My students work independently, in groups with their peers, and as a whole class. My classroom is also student-centered, meaning my students are the pride and joy.

My Project

It is a tough time in education. Our ideas about how to teach students are constantly changing. Due to Covid, my students are not allowed to work in partners or share materials.

My classroom needs a class set of headphones for the students to use.

These headphones will come two and from school, with the students, just in case we have to switch from in-person learning to distance learning. These headphones will provide my students with clear sound to listen to their lessons on or to practice with our digital materials. By allowing each student to have their own pair, I will not have any student without headphones this year.
