My Students
I teach at an incredible school collaborating with a superb grade level group of teachers. I have a fifth grade classroom of 19 girls and 13 boys at a Title 1 school. More than 50% of my class is receiving reduced or free lunch. 30% of my class are English Language Learners. I am trying to open the possibilities of them becoming college and career ready while gaining life long skills they can apply in their lives.

There are no limits to learning in my classroom, but there are many days where students are trying to get through the day with distractions they may have that inhibit their ability to stay focused, complete tasks, and grow academically.
My Project
Students need to access our class Chromebooks daily. We have them in drawers where students have to continually get them out. We have to keep the chargers in another place so sometimes students get a Chromebook that is not charged because it had to be put away for safe keeping. We would like a 30 Chromebook device charging cart.
Accessibility is key for all students to be successful in class.
Having a charging cart for our Chromebooks would help solve having them accessible each day, keep them safe with a locking cart, and keep them charged.
Having a cart that is also a charging station will allow students to have a fully charged Chromebook whenever they need it. We use Chromebooks at different times throughout the day so that is important.
