Keeping Learning Fun

My Students

My class is comprised of first graders. Many of them come from bilingual and low-income homes. Free breakfast and lunch are provided for all students. We have a district program to help supply basic supplies to our most needy students, such as clothing, glasses, backpacks, and school supplies.

Our school has an excellent reputation due to the commitment of the staff and parents to provide the best education possible for the students.

This year, we will be living through a lot of firsts in the classroom, just as we are in all areas of life. Giving students the tools they need to make learning fun will help them stay engaged and focused and help keep worries at bay.

My Project

My students will use these materials in math, reading, and writing. First graders are excited about most things and having fun, new learning tools are at the top of their list.

Being able to learn using a rainbow of colors will be an added joy for my students.

They will use the stickers to create their own math stories. The colorful markers will be used all throughout the day as they respond to questions on their whiteboards. Having a bright new marker is all it takes sometimes to have an amazing day.
