This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students at our small district in the California desert are simply amazing and extremely creative! They enjoy expressing their knowledge, love, and kindness through multiple mediums. We encourage our 5th through 8th grade students to spread kindness throughout their classroom, our school campus, and throughout the community. With this in mind, I have taught students how to create their own personalized designs from scratch and then using equipment from previous projects, they sublimate their designs onto mugs, tumblers, shirts, keychains, etc. I would like to expand our students capabilities to sublimate onto pens, sweatshirts, shirts, caps, etc.

The new sublimation equipment and other supplies will allow students to express their creativity and technical knowledge.

The heat press and the variety of attachments that can be used with it will be used to press the student created designs onto student gear, such as pens, sweatshirts, tumblers, and other school gear to kids keep warm and hydrated.
