This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help supply our Kindergarten cuties who are in need of hats and mittens this winter. Our Kindergarteners love playing outside at recess. The playground is where so much learning occurs. We work on communication skills, peer interaction, turn-taking, strengthening of gross motor skills, dramatic play, and much, much more. Our students have a great time running around and having fun with their peers. However, many of our low-income students are not dressed appropriately for the colder weather.

These hats and mittens are just what our kindergarten students need to stay warm while playing outside!

The storage will be used to keep these hats and mittens separate from other students. The water bottles are needed for students to stay hydrated. I would love them to have water bottles instead of drinking from the public water fountain, especially during cold and flu season and COVID.
