Keeping Distance and Still Connecting Us All with NearPod
Help me give my students access to the digital tools of NearPod. NearPod is a site that helps teachers in many academic disciplines make remote lessons engaging and interactive.
My students are talented and motivated artists who work hard to combine their love of the arts with their academic studies. We are an arts school in NYC where students from diverse backgrounds are united in their dedication to artistic and academic excellence. Approximately three fourths of my students are female.
Through hands-on exploration my artistic students will see the science that shapes the world around us.
This project will reach every student in the school in every academic department. Understanding the science of climate change, disease, and human health will empower my students to positively shape the world around them. Science, technology, and policy shape the future. Gaining scientific knowledge will give power to my students' voices as they make choices that will impact our futures.
My Project
My amazingly talented students love to learn. They come to our performing and visual arts high school to learn and grow both artistically and academically. Our students are critical thinkers, explorers, and agents for change. This year we are being the school year with many unknowns as we are living and learning during a global pandemic.
Having NearPod will help all teachers and students connect as they learn academics remotely.
NearPod will help teachers, students and peers collaborate as we question, explore, and celebrate on a journey to learn all of our academic subjects together. A site license will make this tool available to all faculty in our school.
