Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are enthusiastic learners. We live in a low-income area where my students come to school to escape the many hardships in their lives. Most of my students don’t have access to supplies or technology and are only able to use them at school. My class needs so many resources to prepare them for their future. My students love to learn and I want them to access all subject areas.
My Project
Help give my students supplies so they can continue learning from home. My students have been learning from home since August. We work everyday on zoom and try to continue with our learning. Most of the supplies we sent at the beginning of the year are running out or need to be replaced.
My students need new writing materials.
I would like to give them pens to write during our online lessons. They also need journals and post-its to practice writing and math. These basic materials will allow all my students to succeed in their learning. Some students do not have chargers to keep their device working for class. They need these basic things to access their learning. I want to be able to provide as much support as I can. I am hoping these materials will allow that support to happen.
