Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am so lucky to have so many amazing students in my class this year! They are so eager to learn, and could not wait to be back in the classroom. Many children learned remotely last year due to the pandemic and started the year behind where they should be. Teachers are working double time to ensure children make up for the learning loss that COVID 19 has caused while also making sure the children have what they need to get to school everyday during these cold months.
I work in a Title I school filled with hard working children who love school and are eager to learn!
The children walk to school each day and go outside to engage in recess time. Many children do not have gloves and hats to stay warm!
My Project
Our children walk to school everyday and engage in outside play during recess. Many of the children do not have gloves and hats to keep their heads and tiny fingers warm. I would like to provide the children with the tools they need to stay warm so they can stay active in the winter and engage in fun play with their peers.
Providing children with gloves and hats will keep them warm and snuggly so they can play with their friends during recess and stay warm on their walk to school as temperatures drop!
