The students were super excited when they found out they were receiving rubics cubes. It's pretty cool to see rubics cubes on students desks throughout all lessons, not being touched, just there overlooking.\r\n\r\nSophia holds on to her rubics cube like most people hold on to their cell phones. I told the class if you can complete one side, I can teach you the rest. Sophia can do 1 layer and is currently working on the next layer. How you do one thing is how you do everything. When the children saw the Science Lab Coats, they were so excited!!!!! The children said, that they 'feel like real scientists'!!!\r\nThe children focused more on their Science assignments while wearing their Lab Coats, and I believe when the children 'feel professional', they usually behave more professional, and even more interested in Science topics in general!!!\r\n\r\nOur class was Blessed again that a real Scientist, a Biologist, from Columbia University (in NYC), is coming to work with some of our 4th graders on a 'Biomimicry Project'; So, the children and I surprised him- when he arrived to our school we were all wearing our Science Lab Coats!!! He was impressed, the children felt professional, I was so happy for the students, that I felt like crying happy tears!
