This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school serves students from a very low socioeconomic level. A great percentage of them cannot afford buying basic school supplies. We provide our students with a rigorous education in a safe environment where they all learn to their fullest potential. More than 90% are on free/reduced lunches, and they have a great love for learning. Unfortunately, our resources are limited and we cannot provide them with all the necessary materials to enhance their learning and meet their academic needs.

My Project

I always provide my students with ways to enhance their learning through hands on activities and real life applications of new acquired knowledge, but unfortunately, we don't have access to technology most of the time, and this hinders their chances of expanding their learning experiences. By having the Science World Scholastic Magazines available for use in the classroom, my students will be able to discover the latest innovation science around the world.

Science Innovation around the world, will empower my students with not only must have reading skills, but also with first hand researched knowledge from a range of disciplines and STEM related project ideas, thus, enhancing their academic achievement.

I'm also requesting a set of calculators that my students will use for math calculations during science related practices.
