My boys need 5 copies each of 16 books that engage and inspire them to take the time to read. Sports, ghosts, gruesome stuff, smelly/stinky stuff....all of these engage boys.

SOS! I have BOYS who want to READ BOOKS! Help my boys be able to check out books that interest, motivate, and excite them! Reading engages the mind- don't let the TV be their only source of entertainment!

My boys in grades 4 and 5 do actually enjoy reading, it's just that they are picky about what they want to read. I know what books they want, but usually I have only 1 copy of a book-this leaves them disappointed and then they leave the library with a book they don't really want. I have some kids who come by each day just to see if I have a certain book. We live in poor, rural community-with no bookstore! My library is the only place for the boys to access books and my library budget was cut 30% this year and I am looking at another 40% cut for next year. I can't buy what they want- they can't get to a bookstore and don't have the money anyway- so they watch TV instead- what a shame!

I need multiple copies of books that boys want to read. I know what they want, I just don't have the funds to purchase the books.

Everyone says "kids don't read" and "boys don't like to read". I beg to differ- put books in their hands and they will read. Remember when you were a kid and you went to the local bookstore to buy a superhero comic book or a world record book- remember the anticipation of a new release! Please help my boys by providing funding to make the "good books" available through our library media program.
