This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work at a Title I, inner-city school in Los Angeles. My students are part of a Dual Language program. Many of my students are English language learners who strive for academic excellence. Every day, they come to our virtual class ready to learn. Learning two languages is not easy, especially during a pandemic, but my students are confident, motivated, and dedicated individuals who want to learn all that they can.

My students are bilingual.

Being bilingual means adjusting to two cultures. My students work hard every day in order to master two languages. They are making gains in order to achieve great things and to prepare for college so that they can grow up to become successful individuals.

My Project

My students have tried their best to stay healthy. We continue to keep our distance, wash our hands, and use hand sanitizer.

In order to continue to stay healthy, we need Microban spray to clean our tables and keep our school supplies clean.

Staying safe in the class will allow students to come to school ready to learn. The spray will keep the germs away from tables, chairs, and anything we touch. The masks will allow us to stop germs from spreading and the thermometer will make sure we are not sick so we can enjoy learning and playing with our friends.
