Celebrating Black History Month

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I love that my students are hard workers and open to doing many different things in art. They most enjoy building and constructing art forms and painting. My classes consist of students that are at different developmental levels which also includes "special education" students and students that have had more exposure and experience in visual art than others and more or less control with fine and gross motor skills. Some students do get a little frustrated with paint due to not having as much control over a paintbrush as they would have with markers or colored pencils.

Acrylic paint pens and acrylic paint markers are the perfect solutions for my students that are "challenged" with having more control over how and where their paint flows and make them feel more proud of what they have produced.
