My Students

Welcome to my team! Once you become part of our team, you will find we are 48 energetic learners who love to learn more than just about anything!

Our class is full of diversity and fifty percent of our learners are English Language Learners.

We enjoy new books, hands-on projects, singing, dancing, and most of all growing our brains. Daily you can find us laughing, being kind, thoughtful, and helpful. We take pride in everything we do, from walking down the hallway, keeping track of our supplies, cleaning our room with cleaning dance parties, and completing our work to the best of our abilities.

When you join our team, we will welcome you with a big hug and think of you like family.

My Project

My goal for this project is to make recess fun for everyone. My grade level combines for recess so we have 100 students outside together. We have a basketball hoop, soccer field, swings, and open spaces. We do not have the tools, such as basketballs, soccer balls, or footballs to utilize these spaces though.

I would like to introduce these items to promote physical activity and teamwork during recess.

According to the American Association of Pediatrics, "After recess, for children or after a corresponding break time for adolescents, students are more attentive and better able to perform cognitively. In addition, recess helps young children to develop social skills that are otherwise not acquired in the more structured classroom environment."

Basketballs, Footballs, Soccer balls, Paddle Balls, and Chalk will give us more to do outside and create more fun and increase activity for my students.
