My Students

My students are eager, creative, thoughtful, and outgoing! We love getting messy and making unique and creative projects. They love to be challenged and pushed to the limits. They are always thinking of new ways to solve problems and push their ideas to the limits.

In my room we not only use art to express ourselves and our ideas, but to inspire other staff and students to see new points of view!

My students have a lot of ideas and a variety of viewpoints on the world and what goes on in it. Our community is very diverse which allows them to learn from others well. They thoughtfully create pieces of work individually and collaboratively to share their ideas and messages with the world. We use are as a platform to share our voices and as a way to escape the stresses of everyday life in middle school.

In our class we work creatively, collaboratively and thoughtfully. We use our diversity to our advantage by learning different view points. We share ideas and always help other classmates. We aspire to be unique and always challenge ourselves to do better.

My Project

My students use various materials in art such as clay, pencils, recycled materials, and paint! At the beginning of each project students use paper filled folders as their sketchbooks and design new inventions and master pieces using various supplies, like markers, color pencils, oil pastels, and more! Many of these students can not afford art supplies at home, so my classroom is the one place they can express themselves freely and colorfully! Without this supplies students would not be able to sketch out their ideas, plan ahead, problem solve their projects and wouldn’t have as much fun! Help these young minds grow colorfully into master problem solvers and creative people through art!
