Keep Middle School Girls Excited About Science!

Help me give my students the opportunity to love science. I would like to add some hands-on equipment (KNEX simple machines and tabletop pulley) for labs. I really want to keep my girls interested in science.

My Students

My students love to learn. They are very kind and appreciative. They love to learn and they thank me each day when exiting the classroom. I teach science and the students love to do experiment. They love hands on learning and I really try to encourage the girls to consider science as a career.

My Project

Girls start to lose interest in science in Middle School. The girls do just as well in science up to this point. I am striving to give the girls - and boys - hands-on opportunities.

Learning by doing will help the girls see that they can understand and apply to real-life situations.

Girls often quit participating and allow the boys to take the lead. These supplies will give me the tools for students to collect data and analyze the data. Thank you for your help! I know that this will make a difference in all of my students' life.
