This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have improved their writing skills since the beginning of the school year, as they should. Many of them find that writing is not as difficult as they thought and will write more each time while creating stories or responding to text. Their pencils can become very dull very quickly.

My students need a quick and simple way to sharpen their pencils that is not cumbersome.

This project will provide the students with high-quality, long-lasting, automatic, stress-free pencil sharpeners that will quickly get them back to writing without having to twist and turn their pencils for minutes on end (so it seems) on a pencil sharpener that needs replacing constantly.

This project will also provide quality storage for their regular and colored pencils. Students will not waste time on a pencil sharpener, which can cause them to lose their train of thought or concentration, and wil be able to spend more time writing.
