This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Working with children with various intellectual disabilities has brought me great joy. My kids are always excited to get to class and learn every day. Unfortunately, some of our materials are worn out throughout the years making it difficult to teach and keep the kids engaged. Most if not all the students tend to want a snack throughout the day in order to stay engaged as well. We try our hardest to provide this but given that it comes out of pocket it has become challenging to do so. New materials such as whiteboards, coloring supplies, and healthy snacks this can help remedy the situation. Thank you so much for your consideration!
