My Students

I teach in an area with a pocket of families living in poverty. Newspapers and magazines are not available in many of those homes. Time For Kids is a way for all students to have access to a good quality magazine that will keep them informed about world events.

We have a wide range of students in our building.

Due to the pocket of poverty we serve, it can be a challenge to provide some of the extras that cost additional money. Many of our families are doing well just to make ends meet for necessities. It would be wonderful to provide this magazine for all students in my class free of charge.

My Project

We will be able to discuss current events weekly using the Time For Kids magazine. Students who do not have access to newspapers, news programs, or news magazines, will gain that current events knowledge through the in class activities using Time For Kids magazine. They will get to keep and take home their copy of the magazine at the end of the week.

Knowledge about current world events help to create a well rounded and well educated student.

These 5th grade students will greatly benefit from having the Time For Kids subscriptions in class.
