it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a special group- Most come from low income families, many are first generation Americans or immigrants themselves, and all of them have special needs. In spite of these seemingly difficult barriers, they defy expectations and thrive in school. They're future mechanics, teachers, doctors, and lawyers, brimming with potential. DonorsChoose and its generous donors are important components of closing the equity gap to empower my students to reach their full potential.
My Project
COVID-19 has created a huge shift in education. Now that we are back in the classroom, we are using computers more than ever for day to day instruction. Students now need to bring their computers and chargers to class in order to access lessons and activities. For many of my students, this is a difficult thing to do.
Many times, my students forget their chargers at home.
With your generous gift, I can purchase universal chargers so my students will be able to charge their computers at school regardless if they forget them at home!
