My students have a love and curiosity for exploring new things! My school is right outside of Las Vegas and serves a low-income, bilingual, multicultural family of students!
They are brilliant minded and full of potential and have the desire for more opportunities to grow in their education!
They seek education as their way out of the lifestyle they are growing up in. My students are full of joy, optimism, and motivation. They just need that extra push and guiding hand to cheer them on along the way! I hope to use this project to help my students reach their fullest potential and give them the confidence they need as future leaders!
My Project
With these materials, my students will be given a calm, comfortable, and safe environment to learn. Often times the fluorescent lights and hard chairs can make it difficult to focus for long periods of time. That is why I want to create an environment that allows students to learn in whatever physical environments work best for them.
Often times students learn better when sitting on the floor verses a chair!
I provide my students clipboards to allow them to stand up or sit on the floor during learning. The items on my list allow them to get their wiggles out while sitting in a chair or on the floor without disrupting the class. The light covers tone down the brightness in the classroom which enables the students to focus better!
