This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Please help by gifting us with basic cleaning supplies. Having items like soap, Clorox wipes, wet wipes, rug protectant, and a handheld vacuum don't seem exciting, but they are so necessary. The Dial soap would be available for washing hands. The Scotchguard spray would help maintain our rug's cleanliness. My students do lots of projects with glue and markers, so having wet wipes for their hands would be very helpful! Then the Clorox wipes could be used to keep the desktops clean and sanitary. Oh, and that handheld vacuum would be so AMAZING! Whether it's breakfast crumbs, glitter or pencil shavings - how wonderful if those spills could be taken care of immediately! Students often feel embarrassed and bad about these little accidents. With a vacuum, the mess can be taken care of right away. Once clean, students will likely be more vigilant and careful to keep their areas clean. With these materials, my students will become more self-reliant and learn how to keep their spaces clean. In addition, they will be clean and healthy, ready for more days of learning!
