My Students

My students are full of energy and love performing investigations in Science class! In our class, students learn through scientific inquiry hands-on experiments. Everyday, students will walk into school excited to learn new things! Each day will be a new adventure! Students will be inspired to ask questions and investigate to find the answers.

Success is a science; if you have the conditions, you get the result.

In Mr. Polito's class, we are leaders, engineers, and innovators!

We are located in the South Eastern part of Las Vegas. Every student is unique and each one comes from a variety of cultural backgrounds. In our class, students will learn the twenty-first century skills they need while building necessary social emotional skills.

My Project

Children everywhere are coping with the social and emotional effects of COVID-19. I believe that learning through play is one of the key vehicles to help children, cope with these effects as well as build upon their social and emotional skills, which are especially important during times of challenge and crisis. With this project, my class will be able to work in small groups to build, program, and collaborate on ideas when creating their Robot. By collaborating in person in groups Currently, we only have one robot and it is very hard to share with a large class. We will then participate in the Lego Robotics Competition. This project will encourage student creativity and promote collaboration among groups in the classroom while promoting social emotional skills. After all, I truly believe that hands-on experience is the best way to learn about all the interdisciplinary aspects of robotics as well as building supportive team relationships. This project will definitely impact all students in a positive way!
