My Project

My class is a high-energy class that loves to learn! Help students keep calm with the books, tools, and materials that will help them understand their bodies when they are experiencing big emotions. Our calming corner has some materials, but a stretch chair and other added materials will help us even more! A greater variety of materials will give options to students as they work through how they are feeling. These materials will guide their bodies with calming breathing and hands-on tools to regain a calm, regulated body. Other materials will support calming at our desks and indoor recess time with Play-Doh, calming strips, kinetic sand, mindful coloring books, and pens. Additionally, we would use the yoga book, cards, and blocks to calm ourselves for brain breaks and even at recess. Lastly, our class would also love to extend our learning with STEM-building activities that activate our creativity and cooperation with one another for limitless self-directed fun and learning!
