This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My second grade students are ROCKSTARS. They come to school every day with a smile on their face ready to learn most days. However, we all know that some times life can be rough. Especially for certain families going through financial trouble, family changes, loss of housing, etc. These kids deserve the very best and they have GOT to have someone in their life that can provide these basic necessities. Sometimes all it takes is a granola bar. Other times, they may need a hairbrush to get some tangles out, socks for their bare feet, and ChapStick for their chapped lips from the cold.

I have a class full of 18 brilliant and resilient children and I hope to make them feel as special as they are each and every day.

It would mean the world to me to be able to provide them with some extra warmth, love, and care when they need it most.
