This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Its that time of the year again. Time to restock on our hydration needs.

We are now in the 80s for our school garden work.

Its HOT and there is no access to drinking water in the outside gardens. These 8 and 9-year-olds need lots of liquid hydration supplies.

The old garden trowels were not made well and these kids keep bending them. We are trying to replace them with sturdy garden trowels to keep bringing in the veggies. Our last two harvests were 4.6 pounds of lettuce and 3.8 pounds of spinach for the cafeteria.
