My Students

As the librarian at our school, I do not see every student every day. However, there are many who come to the library before school, after school, during lunch, and even between classes. These students love to read and they love to learn!

Many of these students do not have access to the resources they need.

They are eager to learn more about topics that interest them, from learning to bake a cake, to building robots. Their desire for knowledge is exciting to witness!

My Project

Many of our students are assigned a nonfiction book report during the school year. Because a number of our students do not have access to technology or physical books at home, having these books at school will be a great resource. I will be able to provide students books on a variety of subjects, so they can complete their assignments without worry.

I love to see the excitement on a student's face when I offer them a book on a subject they care about.

When students find a subject they are interested in, it comes through in the efforts they give to their assignments. They learn so much more when they care about the material.
