Students at our school are like no other! I have fifteen first-grade students from different backgrounds that inspire me each and every day. Our students today are our future tomorrow. They are learning to collaborate and inspire each other to be the difference in our community even through our hybrid school environment.

My Project
First grade is where the magic begins. My six and seven-year-old students have a desire to learn everything. These first-grade level books will allow them to read and develop foundational strategies to use in any books that they choose to read. It is so important to teach students to become independent readers and thinkers. This builds their confidence to take chances of reading more difficult selections. The students will use these books in the classroom as they read by themselves and take them home to share their progress with their families.
