Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students are a wonderful group of guys who truly like each other. These young men all have different talents and goals, as well as learning capabilities. There are several scholar athletes on this team as well. They are a young group of guys with a ton of tenacity, that play multiple sports. These students skill sets allow them to play both soccer and football at a high level. This equipment will better the students' strength and conditioning, training, and knowledge of the games they are practicing and playing for. The kicking tee holder will aid in teaching the correct steps and follow through when kicking the footballs. Soccer balls are such an asset to a program, because you must train with the balls to become better and to compete. The goal of this project is to have fit kids who enjoying training and playing both football and soccer with sports equipment.

I tell them to, "Be better today than you were yesterday" before every practice begins.

I have willingly placed myself in their lives by teaching and coaching them about health, strength, and conditioning, as well as sports. I am most pleased when I teach my student-athletes about life. My players have been conditioning and training with equipment that is dated and limited in quantity. I just want them to compete evenly, with the same resources and opportunities as other schools. I have put myself in their lives as their soccer and football coach. The way they act around each other is like a brotherhood. I know if it was not for sports, it would be different.
