My Project

My students have a variety of special needs including an increased need for sensory input. An overstimulated regulatory system makes learning in the classroom a difficult task.

Kids, by nature, are movers.

They learn by moving through their environment with their 5 senses. When kids are climbing and jumping they are also using a 6 sense of the proprioceptive system.

Purchasing a sensory cuddle box will allow my students to meet these sensory needs in a safe and age-appropriate manner. The pressure they feel in their muscles and joints can help with their internal regulation allowing for better concentration and learning in the classroom. It will allow for development of strength and stability through their arms, shoulders, hands, and feet.
