My classroom consists of fifteen students who are ages four and five and are all coming to school for the very first time. While I work daily to expose them to letters, numbers, shapes, and colors, they are learning far more than just academics. Each day, they are learning to socialize with peers by sharing, problem solving, cooperating, and even contributing to a class. They come each day to gain a sense of who they are away from home and learn best through movement, play, and interactions with their peers.
In my experience, by allowing students to learn through imaginative play and social experiences, they are more well rounded and prepared for their future Kindergarten experience.
My Project
Magnetic Manipulatives have taken over as top toys in classrooms, and it is easy to see why. They are a favorite choice for kids of all ages and are loved by teachers for the educational value they provide. These Jumbo Magnetic Builders have the ability to snap together on all sides allowing for endless architectural possibilities.
Magnetic Builders address skills in our youngest learners such as 2 and 3 dimensional shapes, colors, patterns, sizes, magnetic force and attraction, and even gravity.
As children grow and construct, they begin to develop engineering and spatial concepts that are more complex.
My students deserve to have these Magnetic Builders in their classroom to be able to grow creatively and further develop motor skills.
