My Project

Our students live in small one-room apartments and often struggle with literacy because English support is not available at home. My students are eager, self-driven kids who give it their all, every day. With the 30-45 minutes we have for intervention, we must make our lessons as effective and engaging as possible. Our students are always eager to learn and excited to try something that is difficult. We use non-fiction texts from Reading Reading that teach topics about the environment, life sciences and the world. We use engaging text and a systematic approach to phonic make Literacy Intervention as engaging and effective as possible.
