My students need 32 ABC journals and 32 writing journals in our Kindergarten classroom.

My Students

The Kindergarten students are learning words in the alphabet. They take all the words they learn and write them in an ABC journal. Then they use those words to write sentences in a writing journal.

My students are multicultural.

They come from many different backgrounds where they speak different languages. Our school is in a wonderful suburb where the parent involvement is good. But we do not receive ample funds for all of our classroom supplies.

My Project

By receiving these 32 ABC journals and these 32 writing journals, our multicultural students will take something with them that will benefit them for all of their school years. They will have an ABC journal with words to use for reading, writing, and understanding for the next 4 grades. The writing journal will be used with the ABC journal words to write about what they have learned in the classroom.

My ABC journal and writing journal project will help all of my students become better readers and writers.

They will have the tools needed to become successful in all of their school years.
