Jog Around Circles, Jog Around Squares, UTK Kids Jog Everywhere!

Help me give my students color coordinated T-shirts for our school Jog-a-Thon so these young UTK students will be motivated to participate as a group and be easy to identify as they jog around the circle shaped track.

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Doyle Elementary UTK students are special! In September, we welcomed this new grade level of learners onto our campus for the first time ever, some of them turning 4 the week before school started!

To meet the physical needs of these young learners, UTK teachers found a creative way to get the kids moving - teach them their shapes by jogging around circles and squares on the playground!

This idea combines what we are learning in class with our goals for keeping the kids active as part of our PE curriculum.

March 8 is our annual Jog-a-Thon! Our goal is to have all 96 UTK students be in shape and ready to participate. Having students wear matching, color coded T-Shirts with our school name and logo will create excitement, help them stay together as they jog, and make it easier to identify them on the field. They can wear the shirts for spirit days, field trips and grade level activities. These colorful shirts will be a great memory of their first school experience. Go UTK! Go!
