My project needs the Jeopardy game, the U.S. History and Geography cartridge for middle school, and blank cartridges and link to use my computer will allow me to customize other games to the content in class we are studying.

The students I teacher are seventy percent minority and over eighty percent low social economic. They are middle school children that need learning to stimulate their interest and enjoyment in order to inspire them to learn.
I have noticed that when my students enjoy the lesson, they are more likely to learn the material. When reviewing for tests, for instance, my students enjoy competing and, as a result, learn more of the material. Because many of my students' do not have home lives which motivate them toward academic excellence, inticing my students to learn is all the more imperative. To motivate my students, I try to impart why education is important as well as create a classroom environment in which learning is challenging, fun, and relevant.
A Jeopardy game will provide my students with a fun and engaging way to review before my tests, to prepare for new areas of study, and to prepare for the state's standardized tests.

By donating, you will assist in these children being on task, which will result in higher test scores and an increase in knowledge. As a students experiences success then they begin to believe they can achieve more so their set higher goals. Since these students are from a low social economic element of our society, it is important that they have academic success since education is their way out of that life style. As a history teacher, I believe that analyzing the impact of our past actions as a nation allows us to understand the world we live in today. The more a student relates to the actions of our nations past the more likely they are to take an active role as a citizen in their community.
