My Students
My students are greeted at the door every single morning. They are asked how their day is and they immediately run to greet their classmates. They are reminded throughout the day that they are role models, as they are constantly setting the example for others.
My classroom is full of 26 energetic students who see the bright side in everything they do.
They come from a low-income neighborhood and many from Spanish-speaking families. Although they come from a low-income neighborhood, they have a tremendous amount of potential to be leaders one day!
My Project
A few years ago, I started bringing flexible seating into our classroom. My students have wobble chairs, stadium seats, crate seats, beanbags, and one of their favorite options are the jellyfish chairs. However, these jellyfish covers are becoming incredibly worn out and have many holes in them.
These replacement covers for our jellyfish seating would allow for a clean, safe place for my students to work.
Giving this seating option a makeover allows them to continue to be loved and used for the next few years by all of my students. The replacement covers would give these seats the opportunity to continue to be one of our favorite seating options in our classroom!
