My Project

Creating is more than making art; it is a way for children to build confidence, solve problems, and express themselves. At Jacksonville Commons Elementary, a Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) school serving just over 500 students, many of our children come from low-income households and have limited access to quality art supplies outside of school. We want to create an organized, welcoming art room where every student has the opportunity to explore their creativity in a space designed to inspire curiosity, collaboration, and joy.

With your support, our students will have access to organized art stations, fresh supplies, and flexible storage that make creativity accessible to everyone.

Drying racks, rolling carts, and storage caddies will keep our classroom organized so students can spend more time creating and less time waiting for materials. New crayons, multicultural crayons, oil pastels, watercolor paints, and sidewalk chalk will allow students to experiment with a variety of artistic techniques while celebrating their unique identities and the diverse world around them.

Our goal is to transform our art room into a place where every child feels successful, capable, and inspired. Art teaches perseverance, critical thinking, collaboration, and self-expression; skills that extend far beyond the classroom. Your generosity will help provide meaningful learning experiences that encourage our Dragons to dream big, take creative risks, and discover talents they may never have known they had.
