My Students

My students come from a variety of diverse academic needs. Some are emergent bilingual, some have visual or auditory processing challenges, and some are performing either below, at, or above standards.

Although they range academically, they all work very hard and are enthusiastic and eager learners.

They help each other and work together as a team. As 4th and 5th graders, they are learning to take responsibility for their learning and want to do their very best.

My Project

Written, oral, and project based assessments are tools teachers use to see where their students are. These are valuable, but often lack a true sense of all of the what the student knows.

Incorporating an iPad Mini will give students the opportunity to demonstrate what they have learned in a creative and relevant way.

Students will write and create movie trailers to show what they have learned. From these productions, students will have to use their critical thinking skills, as well as prior and newly acquired knowledge to be successful.
