It's Transition Time!

My Students

Even though my class has more than 90% students who qualify for free or reduced lunch; they are hungry to learn and have inquisitive minds! Students, at my school, are mostly English Language Learners. They are hard workers and are eager to learn.

The class is quite diverse!

We have Hmong, Karen, Latino and African American students. A few of the students are homeless. As a second grade teacher, I find that students learn best when they can have hands-on learning. We do much of our learning from games, songs, and cooperative group activities. I like to incorporate life skills like reading recipes and making food to show how reading and math are in our everyday life activities.

My Project

Seville Classics 10-Drawer Organizer Cart and Pacon Chair Storage Pocket Chart will help students organize their classroom materials. Organized materials will help them transition to the next activity with ease.

When students are able to transition efficiently and quickly learning time is not wasted.

Seville Classics 10-Drawer Organizer Cart will be used to store the students' materials for readers' and writers' workshop. When teaching twenty-five, or more, students in a small room it's very important to have a safe and easy traffic flow for students to maneuver around in. Learning time is valued so when students can get ready quickly and efficiently it's very much appreciated.
